My Blackberry gives me the option of deleting an email either on just the handheld device or on device and server. Since I've been getting my twitter feeds on the Peek, the sheer number of emails is enormous! So it'd be nice to be able to delete them on both places w/o going to the computer. Sometimes it just isn't easy getting to the computer in a timely fashion.

When I receive a text, and read it and click to reply to it, it seems rude to me to send back ALL of the text that they sent to me. So, I go through the process of deleting all the former text before sending mine back.
I propose an option in the Peek setup: "Include text when replying to text? Y/N"
Setting it to Y would make your texts more like email. Setting it to N would make them more like a conversation.

I often keep my Peek next to my bed at night to charge and think it would be nice to have an option built in to use different volume and vibrate settings during certain times of the day. When I'm sleeping away and someone updates their Facebook account and sends my Peek vibrating like a jackhammer this option seems useful. Having an option to have my Peek enter a "silent" mode at night would be nice.

IMO, the Peek was a few days late to the game. 3-5 years ago, it would have been a great idea. Today, it’s dreadfully inadequate.
At this point, you need more than just email and/or twitter. They need to beef it up enough to run, say, Android. Give it wifi and EDGE, unlimited data and email/IM messaging (but not SMS/MMS), and a dpad and “android buttons” between the keyboard and the screen (Android doesn’t require a touch screen, but without it, it’d definitely do better with a dpad than with a scroll wheel). If it doesn’t already have a microSDHC card slot, and mini-USB client for data sync and charging, add those two features. Have that be the base/cheap model.
Then make a Peek Pro that has all of that, plus 3G, camera (photo, video, flash), 3.5mm headset (stereo output only, since this isn’t for voice communication), maybe a full size SDHC card instead of microSDHC, and maybe can act as a mifi. And make the screen size the same as the G1 (not just the resolution, the total size). Or bigger, if you can pull it off, but probably not.
That might be worth it. (in fact, if the pro version had all of the rest of that, and preserves the full 5 row qwerty keyboard, I’d definitely buy it)
From Android, you’ll not only have email, IM, and calendar … they’ll also get Twitter, Facebook, and other social sites via Android applications. And if you put a GPS into the Pro version, you might get the Google/Android navigation service too. Though, for me, the biggest deal would be the mifi part :-}

Hi, Peek,
I am a new user, already impressed, but I think the user interface could do better.
1) fix sized font (since Peek doesn't do HTML, fixed font allow limited formatted email)
2) remove or shrink the title bar, the Peek logo should go, I mean the device has the Peek logo on it already, the little angle antenna is very cue, but could be replaced by a horizontal bar, so is the battery and working icons.
3) the click wheel needs to be loosing up a bit.Thanks.

7.Case Accuracy in Contacts (boards.getpeek.com)
It may seem a bit odd, but case matters in some email addresses. Google Voice, for example, cannot process emails with improper case (in the Google Voice ID which looks like this: WM26hjr85s.)
When downloading contacts from an email account, Peek changes the case of the email addresses to lowercase. Similarly, when downloading emails, the case of the email addresses shown in the From: header is also changed to lowercase.
The only workaround is to manually edit each contact that is case-sensitive, which is quite a pain. This is even more problematic for those of us who have been having other problems and have to reset our Peeks from time to time, because we cannot store our contacts online and download them again, but have to manually fix each contact every time we reset.
This should be an easy issue to fix if the problem is server-side, which I would guess it is.

Please give us a calender. Appointments and alarms and synch-ing would be great, but for now just a simple graphic calendar would be nice.

9.
i would love to see them add a rss reader to peak that way you can keep up with all the blogs you read better
-
10.
Do you think its possible to shortcut the menu button on the peek? And as well as the up and down. Such as Shift + M for menu and then Shift + U and Shift + P for up and down.
-
11.
I would like the Peek Pronto to have the ability to text to a 5-digit number.
-
12.
I would like the Peek to be able to toggle into and out of Airplane Mode by pressing Shift A.
-
13.
Would be great to type all the phone numbers & contacts through your website instead of on the peek ^& just have it download to the peek.. Typing these phone numbers in is a pain in the keester .. would move so much faster

This would serve two purposes:
1) Help conserve battery life
2) Let you know that you got a truly recent e-mail -
15.
Many groups (e.g. alumni associations, civic organizations, etc...) offer a forwarding-only service with neither a POP nor IMAP account associated. The Peek, Inc. service lacks the ability to select and use an alternate e-mail address for an existing configured account without either configuring a new POP or configuring a new IMAP account.
This is a sorely missed feature found on other comparable products and should be implemented (or at least a work-around offered).

Put the time on the hold screen so that the Peek doesn't have to be unlocked just to check the time.
-
17.
It's only one step up from email. Those who use their email address as their msn/yahoo/AIM IM accounts could take part in IM discussions in real time.
-
18.
I think you should have a function where you can pick out your own backgrounds for your peek.
-
19.
Would love the option to have separate inboxes for my different email accounts
-
20.
Wouldn't it be great if the Peek became your personal Dictionary. Like the way you get your weather at weather@getpeek.com have Dictionary@getpeek.com

A few simple ideas for a later release:
1. Shift + Delete is a reverse backspace, to delete from left to right
2. Control brightness on a scale. I'd like it dimmer but not too dim.
3. Super Easy, Sleep Mode. Be able to set a specified time, or a on/off where the device still receives messages but doesn't disturb the user, no lights, sounds, vibrates.
4. Alarm Clock, just a handy feature that will help replace some phones and night stand clocks.
5. SMS messages are detected and signatures removed. It's hard to have a name, number, Peek message on bottom of every text
6. Super cool, ability to send a reply without including the original message. -
22.
My wish list:
1) Improved header behavior: either reduce the size of the header to one line, rather than two, or hide the header when viewing an email. Date/time/battery/wireless status is very useful when first looking at the device, but when you are reading an email, it takes up valuable screen real estate.
2) More themes. I'm not a fan of any of the colors currently available. A nice deep blue or black would be nice.
3) Font smoothing. The current font is fine, but smoothing would help with readability.
That's about it!

I'd like to read any other languages on PEEK.
I have chances to receive other language e-mail everyday.
However, Peek is now supporting only English.
And also, I'm heavy twitter user.
If I'm following other language peoples on twitter
(I may be able to set e-mail service of twitter via peedfeed.)
I cannot read them. That is why multi-language is one of important features.
What do you think ??? -

Sometimes I get a picture message emailed to me from a cell phone. To view the image I have to open the email, then open the attachments screen then open the attachment.
Would be nice to be able to open the attachment directly form the In Box because I know there is only one attachment and that the text message included on the picture message is something I can read after the I see the image IF there is a text message included.

Would be nice to be able to save an attachment on the Peek and delete the email. Obvious a UI would be need to save, manage, view the files.
