LAg time between send/receive across all major email systems (gmail, yahoo!, aol, and company-specific - all adding up to the 5 accounts I linked to) is really bad and takes inconsistent and long wait times (10+ minutes in some cases).
I tested against my Blackberry with the same accounts and it was no contest. The Blackberry network requests were immediate.
Returned my peek.
Sorry, but performance really lags and creates an unusable experience.
I'm with jb. I get the same email on my Peek before it ever arrives on my desktop computer. If I am expecting something, I can always do a send/receive. Like jb said "This is a low bandwidth device it's cheap and it works."
I'm cheap too. If I could cost justify a Blackberry, I'd have one. I cannot, so I have a Peek. Long live Peek (and my lifetime Peek device)!
I am using the Peek classic and have tested against my regular email. I see different results in the time lag sometimes its almost immediate other times its a 3-5 minute lag. But I really see no need to upgrade to the Push mail. This is a low bandwidth device it's cheap and it works. A few minutes lag is not really a problem.
