    Payment cards and sound notifications

Hey, how about for people that don't have a credit card you can start selling payment cards at blockbuster too. Or allow people to make payments at blockbuster...
Also, sounds when you get emails would be good.

Turn Off Blinking Mail Indicator After 20 Minutes Of Blinking

    This would serve two purposes:

    1) Help conserve battery life
    2) Let you know that you got a truly recent e-mail

    Alternate "Reply-To" Address Option Needed

Many groups (e.g. alumni associations, civic organizations, etc...) offer a forwarding-only service with neither a POP nor IMAP account associated. The Peek, Inc. service lacks the ability to select and use an alternate e-mail address for an existing configured account without either configuring a new POP or configuring a new IMAP account.

This is a sorely missed feature found on other comparable products and should be implemented (or at least a work-around offered).

    Time on hold screen

Put the time on the hold screen so that the Peek doesn't have to be unlocked just to check the time.

    IM Support

It's only one step up from email. Those who use their email address as their msn/yahoo/AIM IM accounts could take part in IM discussions in real time.

    Backrounds

I think you should have a function where you can pick out your own backgrounds for your peek.

    A DICTIONARY

Wouldn't it be great if the Peek became your personal Dictionary. Like the way you get your weather at weather@getpeek.com have Dictionary@getpeek.com

Some neat features from the discussion boards

A few simple ideas for a later release:

    1. Shift + Delete is a reverse backspace, to delete from left to right
    2. Control brightness on a scale. I'd like it dimmer but not too dim.
    3. Super Easy, Sleep Mode. Be able to set a specified time, or a on/off where the device still receives messages but doesn't disturb the user, no lights, sounds, vibrates.
    4. Alarm Clock, just a handy feature that will help replace some phones and night stand clocks.
    5. SMS messages are detected and signatures removed. It's hard to have a name, number, Peek message on bottom of every text
    6. Super cool, ability to send a reply without including the original message.

Header & Themes & Smoothing, Oh My!

    My wish list:

    1) Improved header behavior: either reduce the size of the header to one line, rather than two, or hide the header when viewing an email. Date/time/battery/wireless status is very useful when first looking at the device, but when you are reading an email, it takes up valuable screen real estate.

    2) More themes. I'm not a fan of any of the colors currently available. A nice deep blue or black would be nice.

    3) Font smoothing. The current font is fine, but smoothing would help with readability.

    That's about it!

    Multi language on PEEK !!!

I'd like to read any other languages on PEEK.

I have chances to receive other language e-mail everyday.
However, Peek is now supporting only English.
And also, I'm heavy twitter user.
If I'm following other language peoples on twitter
(I may be able to set e-mail service of twitter via peedfeed.)
    I cannot read them.

That is why multi-language is one of important features.
    What do you think ???

User Interface suggestion - Open picture attachments directly from In Box

Sometimes I get a picture message emailed to me from a cell phone. To view the image I have to open the email, then open the attachments screen then open the attachment.

Would be nice to be able to open the attachment directly form the In Box because I know there is only one attachment and that the text message included on the picture message is something I can read after the I see the image IF there is a text message included.

Attachements - Need to save an attachement and delete the email

Would be nice to be able to save an attachment on the Peek and delete the email. Obvious a UI would be need to save, manage, view the files.

ACTUAL push email that is real time- not batched requests

LAg time between send/receive across all major email systems (gmail, yahoo!, aol, and company-specific - all adding up to the 5 accounts I linked to) is really bad and takes inconsistent and long wait times (10+ minutes in some cases).

I tested against my Blackberry with the same accounts and it was no contest. The Blackberry network requests were immediate.

    Returned my peek.

Sorry, but performance really lags and creates an unusable experience.

Remove www.getpeek.com from text message signature.

I became a Peek user two days ago and just realized that some of the text messages I send to my wife include the www.getpeek.com URL and it splits the message into two messages so my wife is getting two texts from me. We are on a limited texting plan and this is unacceptable. What's Peek doing about this? If I don't get an option to remove this then I'll be canceling my account after the 3 months I paid for are up.

Seriously, this service is not free and should not include this ad. What a poor business decision.

Web Browsing - email information retrieval (grecorder.com)

I have long been addicted to email The Peek device is exploring new ways to expand email vs web browsing. There are times when you would like to browse the web a bit for this purpose why not use the Lynx's browser as its text based. http://lynx.isc.org/lynx2.8.7/index.html.
If you want html Opera is making mini browsers for mobile phone apps. http://www.opera.com/mobile/

I would like to see ways to expand on the retrieval via email of information via email query's i.e. local@askpeek.com this eliminates the need to browse the web.
